Fan wins a stake in a Million Rand with an astounding single handed catch at the Ram Slam T20

2014/2015 Ram Slam T20 Challenge: bizhub Highveld Lions v Chevrolet Knights

An elated fan has won a stake of a whopping one million Rand, during yesterday’s Ram Slam T20 Challenge at SenWes Park, Potchefstroom.

Heralding a first in arguably one of the most popular cricket tournaments in the country, this year sponsoring partners of the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, Ram Hand to Hand Couriers took a decision to award one million Rand to any attendee over 18 years of age, who catches a six with one hand during a televised match.

That is exactly what Bosman Puren from Potchefstroom managed to achieve during the match between Chevrolet Knights and the Bizhub Highveld Lions, as he caught the coveted ball off the bat of Pite van Biljon from the Chevrolet Knights. “The Ram Slam is a brilliant experience. I’m fortunate to have caught that one. I’m still flabbergasted. Thank you!” said 35 year old self-employed Bosman Puren.

If other fans are able to achieve the same at any of the other televised games, the one million Rand will be split equally. Alternately, if that fails to happen, Bosman Puren will be a million rand richer!

The RAM SLAM T20 Challenge continues to show exciting growth as interest both locally and abroad is intensifying. “That was a great catch by Bosman Puren! We are so delighted that someone caught the six at this match. Now it is an exciting game of waiting, to see if another fan is able to do the same, or if Bosman will be sole winner of the Million rand. We wish him all the best,” said Ram Hand to Hand Couriers Joint MD Graeme Lazarus.

This week’s upcoming matches include:
